Why swiping separately works
When one partner reads names out loud, the other often vetoes half of them on the spot, and good names get lost. Swiping on your own takes the pressure off. Nobody sees your passes, so you can be honest, and every match is a name you both already like.
The deck comes from the same engine as our baby name generator. It scores each name for style and for how it flows with your last name, then shuffles the deck with a shared seed.
Once you have a few matches, send them to family with a shortlist vote, or play them head-to-head in a name bracket.
Questions
Can my partner see the names I passed on?
No. Each of you only sees your own swipes. The only thing shared is the list of names you both liked, plus how far along each of you is.
Do we need accounts?
No. The session is saved in each browser. Sign in (free, no password) if you want it on all your devices.
Can I change my mind?
Yes. Undo your last swipe with the ↶ button or the Backspace key.
Can someone else join with the link?
The invite link works once. The first person to open it becomes your partner, and after that the session is closed to anyone else.
