  1. Add 4, 8 or 16 names

Use your favorites, a shortlist, your partner matches, or just type them. The order sets the seeding.

  2. Pick head-to-head

Two names at a time. Go with your gut. Use the arrow keys on a computer or tap on your phone.

  3. Crown a champion

Share the result, or let family play the same bracket and see whose champion wins the most.

Why a bracket helps you decide

Comparing a long list all at once is overwhelming. Choosing between just two names is easy, and your gut usually knows. After a few rounds the bracket has made dozens of small decisions for you, and the champion is often the name you kept coming back to.

If the winner surprises you, that tells you something too. Play again with the seeds shuffled, or ask your partner to play and compare. Still stuck on two? Ask everyone with a shortlist vote, or test the full name with our full name tester.
